Construction

Conforming to ASIO and client specific guidelines, Uniport has constructed over 40 secure areas, delivered on time and on budget for Federal Government and Private Organisations.

Provided below are examples of construction methods:

  • Approved locks and lock cylinders suitable for ‘Secure Area’ applications.
  • Approved hinge bolts fitted to either timber or aluminium doors to stop entry from door hinge tampering.
  • Construction methods whereby walls/barriers extend from the base of the floor to the underside of the above slab or secured roof structure.
  • Steel stud and track construction of 92mm thick walls which ensures a more solid perimeter.
  • Steel sheeting applied to the perimeter and inter tenancy walls where existing plaster board has or will be constructed.
  • Steel mesh installed and secured above perimeter walls and entry points to ensure a continuous slab to slab barrier. This will occur irrespective of the ceiling construction to maintain a level of security and not restricting services such as mechanical air flows.
  • Steel reinforced aluminium door jamb and associated large section aluminium glazed door.
  • Steel reinforced door jamb and associated solid block door.
  • Door jambs reinforced with RHS steel posts fixed slab to slab to ensure a stable surround for the access controls associated with these doors.
