Designated Secure Rooms
Designated secure rooms within tenancies must comply with the requirements for perimeter walls, timber doors, steel door jambs and be fitted with approved hinge bolts, lock strike shields, door closers, lock cylinders, locks and door furniture. Fire egress from designated secure rooms must comply with State fire regulations.
These rooms generally have access control systems fitted to the doors and are able to log and monitor staff movements in and out of these rooms.
Examples of the ‘Designated Secure Rooms’ can include a variety of areas pending the organisations structure and requirements.
